Please remember to vote! Even if you haven’t recieved your absentee ballot, you can participate in the presidential elections via a Federal Write-In ballot, available at your local embassy. The embassy will send it for you through the diplomatic post, so it will still arrive in time if you go now!

Does the government of Syria knows how many US citizens in Syria and what effect they have on election?

The embassy closure is as of now temporary–only for today, as it stands.
I don’t know exactly how many Americans there are in Syria, but I think its a very small number compared to the voting population of the US, so the impact is negligible, to be honest. However, particularly after this horrendous raid, I’m sure they’ll overwhelmingly be votes for Obama.
